On April 2nd we predicted that Donald Trump would have 953 delegates as of today (needing only 284 delegates for the nomination) and that Cruz would have 550 delegates as of today (needing 687 to win the nomination).
We also predicted that only 634 delegates would remain and therefore Cruz would need more delegates than would be available.
Ted Cruz is eliminated.

It is not clear yet on how devastating the final numbers will be for Ted Cruz.
After winning all five primaries tonight — Connecticut, Rhode Island, Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania — Donald Trump has 950 delegates so far.

There are fewer delegates remaining than we originally projected because the delegates in Wyoming, Colorado and North Dakota were allocated in shady voter-less elections after April 2nd.
After tonight’s primaries Cruz has — 560 delegates after winning one delegate Tuesday.
Cruz needs 677 delegates to reach 1,237 delegates.

CNN and Megyn Kelly both took my comments out of context to imply I was calling for violence in Cleveland. As a veteran of the 1968 Nixon campaign, I remember vividly how violence destroyed the campaign of Hubert Humphrey. The Soros-backed professional agitators expected to descend on Cleveland will be trying to incite violence must be ignored by Trump supporters at all costs. Violence would be counterproductive to Trump’s general election drive.
If either CNN or Ms. Kelly had played my entire interview rather than selectively editing it, or any one of the interviews I did they day, they would know I specifically renounced violence while urging an intense “dialog “to press those delegates — who were elected as Trump delegates but were inserted as quislings by the party bosses — not to betray Trump on a second ballot.
These “Trump” delegates give the anti-Trump forces a majority on questions of rules, credentials, and platform — all of which must be ratified or rejected by the full convention before the First ballot for President. This is where the big steal will take place.
The big steal happens even if Donald Trump hits the magic 1237! In the meantime, the Cruz forces seek to chisel delegates from Trump in states where he won primaries, which we see happening in Louisiana, Arkansas, and elsewhere — plus Colorado, where no primary or caucus took place.
Moments after announcing that Ted Cruz had swept all 34 delegate slots at the Colorado GOP convention Saturday, the state party tweeted: “We did it. #NeverTrump.”
Within minutes, the tweet had been deleted.
Steve House, the Colorado GOP chairman, insisted his staff had nothing to do with the tweet and is now investigating.
“There’s no way we tweeted that,” House said, although he acknowledged that the state party was responsible for deleting it.

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) on Monday said the alleged shooter at a Planned Parenthood clinic is simply an “evil, crazy guy” when asked if Republican rhetoric contributed to the tragedy.
“The thing that drove him nuts is he was a very evil crazy guy,” McCarthy told reporters when asked if GOP criticism of Planned Parenthood had gone too far. “If you want to talk rhetoric I see rhetoric [on] all different issues.”
He said the work of the committee investigating Planned Parenthood would go on, noting that Democrats are represented on the panel as well.
