REPORTS: Secret Service, Trump Campaign Increasing Security After Threats to Family, Violent Protests
The Secret Service and the presidential campaign of Donald Trump are increasing security for the candidate and his rallies after threatening letters were received by Trump family members and violent protests by leftists broke out at a string of several recent Trump rallies.

“The Secret Service is ramping up their presence around Donald Trump as the joint terrorism task force investigates a suspicious envelope with powder that was delivered to Trump’s son.”
The NBC report aired before it was revealed that Trump’s sister, federal appeals court judge Maryanne Trump Barry, had also been sent a threatening letter that was received Friday but did not contain any powder.

SECRET SERVICE TO AUSTIN RESIDENTS: YOU CAN’T LOOK AT OBAMA
Obama is in Austin today to attend the SXSW festival.
“The biggest surprise was we’re not supposed to go out on the balcony,” resident Robyn Dodge told KEYETV, a CBS affiliate.
An email was sent to residents of the posh high-rise telling them the balconies are off limits between 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
KEYETV said if residents violate the order, they will be visited by the Secret Service.
The Secret Service has also instructed businesses along Obama’s tour route to shut down.
“I know some departments in City Hall are doing so, and I hope more downtown employers follow suit. Of course, many local businesses can’t work from home, and I hope you make an effort to support them as well,” Austin Mayor Steve Adler said in a newsletter.

Russian President Vladimir Putin Saturday hailed the country’s secret services for foiling around 30 planned attacks and uncovering more than 320 foreign spies in 2015.
“I want to point out that this year, thanks to the efforts of the FSB employees, more than 30 crimes of a terrorist nature have been prevented,” said Putin in a speech honouring the FSB, whose forerunner was the Soviet KGB.
