EUROPEAN AIRPORTS STEP UP SECURITY AFTER BRUSSELS ATTACKS

Airports across Europe stepped up security after attacks in Belgium, which took the lives of at least 13 people, according to local media.

Key air transport hubs in Paris, London and Frankfurt stepped up security measures after terror attacks in Belgium’s Brussels, which targeted the city’s airport and subway system.

Blasts at the Brussels airport led to its closure and flights were rerouted to other Belgian cities, which also stepped up security after the attacks.

Despite changes in airport security at London’s Heathrow and Gatwick airports, the United Kingdom’s Home Office told Sputnik that across-the-board security measures have yet to be introduced. France boosted transport security, while President Francois Hollande is holding an emergency meeting to discuss further measures.

Subway to remove all antibiotics from meat by 2025

Campus Organizer Basmajian, along with Chapman and Grassroots Coordinator John Kelly, were all in high spirits as students had their pictures taken in front of the cardboard signature sub sandwich they used as part of their campaign.

“[It’s] so great,” said sophomore Mackenzie Cutler. “I’m so happy about it.”

“Today’s consumer is ever more mindful of what they are eating, and we’ve been making changes to address what they are looking for,” said Dennis Clabby, executive vice president of Subway’s Independent Purchasing Cooperative (IPC) in a press release on Oct. 20. “A change like this will take some time, particularly since the supply of beef raised without antibiotics in the U.S. is extremely limited and cattle take significantly longer to raise. But we are working diligently with our suppliers to make it happen.”

“It feels great to know that I was a part of something that was national,” said Kelly when asked about the success of the campaign.

Subway’s Jared Fogle to Plead Guilty to Child Porn Charges: Reports

Ex-Subway spokesman Jared Fogle is expected to plead guilty to possession of child pornography charges, according to reports from multiple Indianapolis news outlets.

According to three local TV stations, Fogle will accept a plea deal Wednesday. The U.S. Attorney’s Office will discuss the deal and charges against Fogle Wednesday afternoon, reports say.

Fogle’s attorney, Ron Elberger, did not return PEOPLE’s calls for comment, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Indianapolis declined to comment.
