A Straight Outta Compton sequel based on the rise of West Coast rappers includingTupac, Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Kurupt, Daz Dillinger and Warren G, and more is in reportedly in the works, and will pick up where the original left off — but even though some stars will overlap from the original, new actors will take the roles.
Daz, member of 1992 hip hop duo Tha Dogg Pound, told TMZ that the movie is already underway, which will show the rise of Death Row Records — and all the drama that went along with it. According to Daz, Chris Young, 33, will most likely take on the role of his father, Dr. Dre. (instead of Corey Hawkins) in the sequel
