Tweet linking Oregon militia leader Ammon Bundy to Rosa Parks is a hoax, brother claims: ‘Someone is masquerading as him’
The message, sent out around 1:30 a.m., was among several tweets sent Wednesday in response to the armed Jan. 2 takeover of a Wildlife Refuge in Oregon. The missives have added public vitriol to the group’s takeover of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, which Bundy says the group will leave when a plan is in place to turn over management of federal lands to locals.
“We have remained peaceful,” another provacative tweet stated on Wednesday. “If the authorities raid us unnecessarily we can’t guarantee that continues. We are prepared to defend ourselves.”

Ammon issued a call for “all patriots” to “stand up” and “come prepared” to defend the Hammonds from what he calls an unconstitutional land grab. It’s not clear how many people responded, though the group claims there are 150 men occupying the wildlife refuge office.
