Devoted self-made filmmaker Nabwana Isaac Godfrey Geoffrey (I.G.G.), who shoots ultra-violent action movies in a slum at the cost of about $200 apiece, and has been lovingly nicknamed ‘Uganda’s Tarantino’ by his fans, says his version of ‘The Expendables’ is coming soon.

Nabwana produces, directs, shoots, writes, and edits his films. Wakaliga, a slum in Uganda’s capital, Kampala, is his action set – and it has already been dubbed “Wakaliwood.”

PHILADELPHIA POLICE JOIN CALL TO BOYCOTT QUENTIN TARANTINO MOVIES

quentin-tarantino “Tarantino has shown through his actions that he is anti-police,” the group’s president, John McNesby, said in a statement. “Mr. Tarantino has made a good living through his films, projecting into society at large violence and respect for criminals; he it turns out also hates cops.”

The statement comes after Tarantino participated in an anti-police brutality rally in New York City last weekend. “When I see murders, I do not stand by, I have to call a murder a murder and I have to call the murderers the murderers,” Tarantino told a crowd of protesters on Sunday. The event was organized by a group called #RiseUpOctober, which cites the deaths of Michael Brown, Tamir Rice, Freddie Grey, and Eric Garner as lives “stolen by police” on its website.

“The powers-that-be continue to unleash their cops to kill and brutalize and the courts continue to exonerate these killers,” reads the site. “No more!”

Quentin Tarantino has ‘destroyed his career’ says rightwing host Bill O’Reilly

e00db4eb-9f93-4934-822e-2af177de463d-2060x1236 Fox News stalwart O’Reilly criticised Tarantino for appearing at the rally a week after 33-year-old NYPD officer Randolph Holder was fatally shot in the city.

“Last week New York City police officer Randolph Holder [was] shot dead by a long-time drug dealer that a judge refused to incarcerate,” said the commentator. “Tyrone Howard, 28 arrests on his sheet … thus Officer Holder is dead.

“Less than a week after Officer Holder was killed and before his funeral even took place, Hollywood director Quentin Tarantino travelled to New York City to condemn American police officers.”

Speaking on his The O’Reilly Factor show, the conservative commentator, who has been strongly criticised over his coverage of the #BlackLivesMatter movement, highlighted comments by Tarantino about the unarmed 18-year-old black teenager Michael Brown, who was shot by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, last year.
