WILL IMMIGRATION FORCE A CHANGE IN SWEDEN’S LABOR LAWS?

The main problem is integration of those who immigrate: they are prohibited to work until their asylum or petition for residency has been approved. In other words, they are a cost in the state’s budget and a burden for taxpayers — often for many years — while bureaucrats process their application. Another effect of this is that immigrants aren’t integrated into Swedish society, since they’re effectively kept out of interacting with “ethnic Swedes” through the normal meeting places: school, the workplace, the commute, and so on.

Nearly 500 UACs are scheduled to arrive in the next few days at the Lakeview Camp and Retreat Center located near Waxahachie, Texas, a report on Texas Police News states. 400 workers were expected to arrive on Thursday and the children are expected to follow along shortly thereafter.

Ellis County Sheriff Johnny Brown said his department will be responsible for security for the children while they are in the camp. He also expressed concern about the security of the surrounding citizens. “At no time will these kids be left alone,” Sheriff Brown said during a county meeting. “They will have no transportation, should they attempt to escape, so threats to our surrounding community is very low.”

We continue to aggressively work to secure our borders, address underlying causes and deter future increases in unauthorized migration, while ensuring that those with legitimate humanitarian claims are afforded the opportunity to seek protection,” a Customs and Border Protection spokesperson said.

The government’s Office of Refugee Resettlement expanded the temporary housing it puts unaccompanied children in from 7.900 beds to 8,400 beds in November, CBP said. The housing is dormitory-like, said Young, with education and modest healthcare offered inside the building; the children cannot leave the premises.
