The flydubai Boeing 737 jet crashed at the Rostov-on-Don airport after traveling from Dubai.

All those on board died, authorities said.

Officials believe bad weather, which kept the plane from reattempting landing for more than two hours, likely caused the crash.

The jet was carrying 55 passengers and seven crew members when it crashed, Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov said.

In a recent interview with popular Russian daily Komsomolskaya Pravda, Zakharova said that in her opinion the United States as a nation was not hostile to Russia.

“The USA is not Obama. The USA is the people who populate the country. The problem lies in the fact that the current US authorities are trying to impose anti-Russian sentiments on their people,” she said. “But the USA as a nation and Americans as a people are not our enemies.”

Reporters also asked Zakharova to comment on Barak Obama’s statement that the Russian economy was in tatters, made in the State of the Union Address in January this year.

Minister intervenes to give Chinese artist Ai Weiwei full UK visa

Dissident Chinese artist Ai Weiwei leaves the airport in Munich

Ai, who arrived in Germany on Thursday to see his son, is due to travel to Britain for a major exhibition of his work at London’s Royal Academy of Arts in September.

After his release from detention in 2011, the Chinese government said he remained under investigation on suspicion of economic crimes. The world-renowned artist maintains the charges were trumped up in retaliation for his criticism of the government.

Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Britain in October, and the move could fuel criticism of Prime Minister David Cameron’s government, accused by critics of putting trade before human rights in dealing with China.

Taxi legislation needs to adapt to the arrival of online ride-hailing services like Uber, France’s Economy Minister Emmanuel Macron said on Monday as he convened talks to address the controversial issue.

Uber has had a rough ride in France to date. A law passed in October last year attempting to address the issues it raised restricts the use of the localization software Uber uses.

The law is being challenged by Uber, which faces similar opposition in other countries around the world.
