Jeb Bush plummets in latest national poll


download (2) Jeb Bush’s support among Republicans nationally has plummeted to the low single digits in the latest Quinnipiac University survey released Wednesday, as the former Florida governor’s campaign seeks to hit refresh with its “Jeb Can Fix It” tour.

Donald Trump and Ben Carson, meanwhile, continued to lead the field, with Carson outperforming Hillary Clinton in a hypothetical general-election matchup.

JEB BUSH PLUMMETS IN LATEST NATIONAL POLL


jeb-white-house In the latest poll, conducted after last week’s third GOP debate in which Bush delivered a mediocre performance, just 4 percent of Republican and independent Republican-leaning voters said they would support Bush in their state’s primary. In the September survey, Bush earned 10 percent, trailing Trump, Carson and Carly Fiorina. And in terms of favorability, no one polled lower than Bush, at a net-negative of 33 points. Just 25 percent of all registered voters surveyed said they had a positive opinion of him, while 58 percent said they had a negative one.

JEB: I could be doing ‘really cool things’ instead of being president


If this election is about how we’re going to fight to get nothing done, then I don’t want any part of it. I don’t want to be elected president to seek gridlock that people are literally in decline in their lives. That is not my motivation.

I’ve got a lot of really cool things I could do other than sit around, being miserable, listening to people demonize me and me feeling compelled to demonize them. That is a joke. Elect Trump if you want that.

HillaryFor the most part, there wasn’t really anything controversial about CNN’s presidential debate last Tuesday, which is exactly how the mainstream media likes to present their “debates.” They’ll never offer anything challenging to their viewers. All they do is shower the flavor of the week with attention and adoration while largely ignoring any candidate who might have something interesting to say; or worse, those candidates will never make it to the stage in the first place.

All they do is shower the flavor of the week with attention and adoration while largely ignoring any candidate who might have something interesting to say; or worse, those candidates will never make it to the stage in the first place.

Really, these debates have nothing to do with informing the public on their presidential choices (if you can call them that). When election season nears, outlets like CNN have only two goals. First, they want to fuel their dying ratings, so of course they’re going to give the most air time to whoever happens to be popular. And second, they will manipulate the discourse surrounding the debate, because their secondary mission is to shill for whichever candidate is the establishment pick. And boy, did CNN manipulate the hell out of this debate.

Carson and Trump Threaten to Skip Next Debate


For their part, CNBC claims they are simply trying to “host the most substantive debate possible,” and that opening statements take away from time that could be used for “critical issues.” There is also an argument that they need three hours simply to accommodate the size of the field. CNBC says they are working with the campaigns to sort out the debate.
