OBAMA SET TO ANNOUNCE STEEPER EMISSIONS CUTS FROM US POWER PLANTS

The Obama administration is expected to finalize the rule at a White House event on Monday, a year after proposing unprecedented carbon dioxide limits. Obama, in a video posted on Facebook, said the limits were backed up by decades of data and facts showing that without tough action, the world will face more extreme weather and escalating health problems like asthma.

“Climate change is not a problem for another generation,” Obama said. “Not anymore.”

DRONES BUZZING AIRPORTS; THREE PLANES NARROWLY MISS UAVS AS HOMELAND SECURITY WARNS OF TERROR ATTACKS


In three separate incidents this past weekend, drones were witnessed buzzing planes close to airports, with one pilot having to literally swerve to avoid hitting a remotely operated aircraft.

On Friday, two commercial airplanes each came within 100 feet of a drone buzzing around JFK airport, according to audio from each flight’s radio calls.

Hundreds of civilians killed in US-led air strikes on Isis targets – report

The air campaign against Islamic State in Iraq and Syria has killed more than 450 civilians, according to a new report, even though the US-led coalition has so far acknowledged just two non-combatant deaths.

More than 5,700 air strikes have been launched in the campaign, which nears its first anniversary this Saturday, with its impact on civilians largely unknown.

Now Airwars, a project by a team of independent journalists, is publishing details of 52 strikes with what it believes are credible reports of at least 459 non-combatant deaths, including those of more than 100 children.

Progressives and the liberal wing of the Democrat party are understandably less than excited about the trusted CFR insider and would prefer to see the independent socialist Bernie Sanders go up against whomever the Republicans decide to run.

According to Politico, Biden is “a beloved figure in the Democratic Party, a stand-up guy” and establishment Democrats want him “in the wings if Clinton for some reason implodes,” which appears increasingly likely as the former Secretary of State takes heat for the email and Benghazi scandals. If opinion polls can be believed, her unfavorability rating stands at 48.1 percent.

The fascinating point about the market system isn’t that it is based on greed, but rather that it forces those motivated by greed to act in ways that promote the social interest. If you want to get rich, say by x amount, then you better improve the lives of consumers, through voluntary transactions, by some amount greater than x.
